CALL FOR KELOWNA ARTISTS (CLOSED)
Professional and emerging artists are invited to submit their work for the first KELOWNA ART BOOK.
The KELOWNA ART BOOK seeks to elevate awareness of the arts in the Kelowna region by featuring local practicing artists and their work. This inaugural book is designed to celebrate the arts in Kelowna and its creatives. With a rich list of original artworks by professional and emerging artists, KELOWNA ART BOOK marks a milestone for Kelowna. The book will connect artists and collectors and showcase the local talent of the region.
For the purposes of this project, a “professional artist” is one that shows up consistently and has a regular practice.
Preferably we are looking for artists with:

A practice in which they have received payment for their work
A history of public presentation
An Artist Statement
High resolution photography of 3-6 pieces of original artwork (minimum 2-3 MB per piece) to be showcased in the book, as well as on social media, website and other KELOWNA ART BOOK artist promotions.
Visual artists in the fields of painting, digital arts, photography, mixed media, sculpture & installations, film or video art are invited to apply. Curation criteria will focus on artists who present unique conceptions.
Selected artists will receive a two to four-page colour spread in KELOWNA ART BOOK and exposure alongside Kelowna’s talented professional and emerging artists. You will also receive two copies of the book as a thank you for being a part of this collective project.
